What others are saying.

Dr. Sears has an uncanny ability to listen and to analyze a situation—her suggestions were organized, straightforward and on point. I am very grateful for her assistance, and would not hesitate to recommend her services to any company or individual seeking conflict resolution or effective communication training.

Client results – More focused, creative productive employees

The Challenge

During the last 20 years, this organization has downsized to 1/6 of its original size and more cuts are expected. Salaried employees are anxious and unable to focus on their work, and groups of supervisors stand around discussing the latest gossip. Some mention that they are keeping their heads down and not saying much for fear of becoming a target. They do not communicate problems for fear of retribution.

Our Approach

As consultants we needed help these employees to become resilient to the changes in the environment and understand their actions are counterproductive and may create a self-fulfilling prophesy.  Our approach is to:

  • Identify self-limiting beliefs.
  • Create job portfolios.
  • A self-assessment to identify strengths and liabilities that require attention.
  • Teach constructive communication techniques.
  • Help employees understand the transitional phases of personal change.
  • Encourage creativity.
  • Help employee identify supportive networks.

Outcomes

  • Productivity increases.
  • Employee development.
  • Communication skills are enhanced.
  • Group members understand what they have to offer.
  • Employees communicate honestly about their job responsibilities.
  • Reduced cost of employee replacement for those who leave out of fear.
